Explore, dashboard, and public access
What you can browse without an account and which actions require Discord sign-in.
Public content
Without signing in, you can open Explore, discover releases and artists, view albums, browse public playlists, and visit profiles that their owners have made visible.
Actions that require Discord
Tainy will ask you to sign in when you want to:
- play or save music in a server;
- open your profile, library, chat, or notifications;
- select and configure a server;
- manage playlists, DJ controls, or dashboard features.
After sign-in, Tainy keeps the requested destination so you can continue where you left off.
Privacy
Each user decides which parts of their profile, activity, and playlists are public. An empty profile is not necessarily an error: its owner may have restricted that information.
How to interpret Explore
Recently discovered means that songs recently entered Tainy's catalog. It is not their release date. This section requires artwork: a valid catalog track may not appear here.
Trending songs uses internal playback activity for the selected period. It is not Spotify's official chart or a count of all listening on the Internet. Switching between week, month and all time changes the window you are viewing.
Artists on the rise combines recent activity with artists in your history and collaborators present in the catalog. A percentage indicates measured growth between weekly windows; a recommendation label does not imply that growth exists. Guests and accounts with little history use community signals and may receive less personal results.
Why two visits can look different
Sections refresh independently and use caching to avoid repeated work. They do not all change at the same time. History, the selected period and available images also affect results. Without a valid portrait, the carousel may contain fewer artists: album covers do not fill those places.
Browsing is not account access
Public links do not reveal private messages, servers or libraries. Share a public playlist or profile link and check it while signed out. Never share a Discord callback URL containing credentials. Read privacy to understand what information may be displayed.
