Essential music commands

A practical reference for search, queue control, and playback adjustments.

Search and play

/play <name or URL>: finds a song, album, or playlist and adds it to the queue.
/insert <name or URL>: places a song in the next position.
/radio: starts a radio experience supported by the session.

Control playback

/pause and /resume: pause or continue.
/skip and /previous: advance or return to the previous track.
/seek, /forward, and /rewind: change the song position.
/volume: adjusts the allowed session volume.
/loop: repeats the song or queue.
/shuffle: changes the order of queued tracks.

See what is playing

/nowplaying: shows the current song.
/queue: opens the queue.
/lyrics: finds lyrics for the current song or a search.
/help: opens help inside Discord.

Some commands depend on the DJ role, server permissions, or Premium benefits. The public catalog reflects the commands currently loaded by the bot.

Choose the action that preserves your session

Pause keeps the song and its position. Skip changes what is playing. Stop ends playback; it is not another pause button. Before modifying a shared queue, check /queue and let other listeners know.

Discord displays exact option names, required fields and available values when you select a command. When an operation asks for a playlist identifier, use the ID shown by /pl all, not its display name.

Find a particular version

Include the artist with the title to reduce ambiguous matches. If you want a live version, remix or particular recording, say so or use a supported URL for that version. A search match does not guarantee that every source has the same audio available. Correct the query before adding it again if the result is wrong.

Permissions are not Premium

A refusal because of the DJ role or because you are not in the same voice channel does not mean you must purchase Premium. Read the response and check server permissions first. Plan limits and benefits are a separate check. The DJ permissions guide explains how to distinguish these cases.

When reporting a command, include its name, the value entered, the error and approximate time. Never send tokens, cookies, passwords or private payment links.
