Getting started with Tainy

Invite the bot, prepare a channel, and play your first song in Discord.

Before you start

You need a Discord account and permission to invite bots to the server. If you do not manage the server, share the invite with someone who has that permission.

1. Invite Tainy

Select Add to Discord on the home page.
Choose your server and review the requested permissions.
Make sure Tainy can view the channel, connect, and speak in voice.

2. Prepare the player

Join a voice channel and use /setup if you want Tainy to create its dedicated control space. You can also begin directly with a music command.

3. Play your first song

Enter /play Bad Bunny - DtMF or paste a supported URL. Tainy will find the best match and add it to the queue.

4. Control the session

/queue shows what comes next.
/pause pauses playback.
/resume continues the song.
/skip moves to the next track.
/stop ends the session and clears the queue.

A first session you can verify

Choose an easily identifiable text channel and voice channel. Join voice before requesting music. In Discord, enter /setup, fill its type field and select Create if you want a dedicated request area. This creates channels and needs management permissions; it is not necessary before every playback request.

Next select /play and fill the search with an artist and title. The < > symbols in examples represent values you supply, not text to copy. Wait for the response and check /queue before submitting the same request again.

What should happen

Tainy should reply in text and connect to voice. If it replies but you hear nothing, check Discord volume, whether the bot is muted and channel permissions. If it does not reply, check that you selected a Tainy command and that the application is installed in that server. These are different symptoms.

When to use the dashboard

The website lets you review the queue and manage playlists with more space. Select the same account and server used for your test. Opening Explore does not automatically play audio on your computer: playback actions target the server's voice session.

Save the queue before ending the session if you want to keep it. Pausing lets you resume; stopping ends playback, while disconnection can depend on 24/7 mode. See audio troubleshooting before deleting setup or inviting the bot again.
